Finding Daily Strength Through Scripture and Devotionals

Finding Daily Strength Through Scripture and Devotionals

There are mornings when life feels so heavy. The to-do list is long, your heart is weary, and even your faith feels stretched thin. Friend, I’ve been there too. But I’ve also learned that when I pause and open God’s Word, even for just a few quiet moments, His strength begins to pour in like living water.

Daily devotionals aren’t about perfection or having hours of study time. They’re about creating little windows in your day where God can breathe peace, wisdom, and direction into your heart.

Why Devotionals Matter

God’s Word says, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” Psalm119:105. Devotionals  are a simple way to keep that lamp burning. They give us guidance when we feel lost, encouragement when we’re tired, and truth when we’re surrounded by the noise of the world.

When we carve out this time, we’re choosing to lean into His presence  and that choice changes how we face everything else in our day.

How to Make Devotionals Part of Your Daily Life

Here are a few gentle steps you can take:

  1. Choose your time. Maybe it’s early morning with your coffee, or right before bed when the house is quiet.
  2. Start small. Even five minutes with scripture and reflection can shift your mindset.
  3. Write it down. Jotting your thoughts in a devotional or journal helps your heart process what God is teaching you.
  4. Pray through it. Turn what you read into a prayer — short, honest, and from the heart.

Remember: it’s not about length, it’s about consistency.

The Blessing of a Planner for Devotionals

One of the ways I’ve found helpful is having a dedicated space to keep track of my devotionals, scriptures, and prayers. That’s why I created the Faith & Wellness Planner. It’s designed to give you a rhythm — a simple, intentional way to stay rooted in the Word while also caring for your heart and wellness.

Think of it as your daily companion: a space to pour out your thoughts, highlight God’s promises, and see His faithfulness unfold on paper.

A Word of Encouragement

If today feels overwhelming, pause for a moment. Open your Bible, even if it’s just to one verse. Whisper a prayer. Write a few words down. Sister, God will meet you right where you are.

And if you’d like a guide to help you create a steady devotional practice, my Faith & Wellness Planner is waiting for you. It’s not just a planner — it’s a place for your journey with Him to grow day by day.
